VehiclesDrifters Adventure Tours offer safari tours in state-of-the-art vehicles throughout southern and East Africa. All Drifters Adventure Tours vehicles are designed in a manner that reflects our decades of experience in the safari industry. Passenger cabin, body work, and storage areas are all custom-built to our specifications, taking passenger safety, comfort and reliability into account. All vehicles are inspected, serviced, and completely re-supplied before each tour departure. Our fleet is made up out of 2×4 vehicles and a range of 4×4 vehicles used in Botswana and Uganda.

TruckThe custom-built 4×4 is one-of-a-kind and will offer the reliable strength needed on the roads in Uganda but with improved comforts for guests. Key features include:

– Big spacious windows for panoramic views
– 16 seats for increased passenger numbers
The new 4×4 includes similar features to our normal vehicles but is the beginning of a new era for tours in Uganda and sets the trend for vehicles travelling on the rugged conditions in Uganda.
2X4
TruckDrifters Adventure Tours has a fleet of custom-built safari trucks that are all purpose build to travel through Africa. The trucks all have forward-facing reclinable seats that ensure a comfortable ride and loads of leg room.
The big windows on the side and the windscreen ensure that everybody in the truck has a clear view of the surrounding area which means you will not miss anything on the road or not have a view of the animals on the game drives.
All the Drifters Adventure Tours trucks come standard with a built-in stainless steel kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all the cutlery and crockery needed on tour as well as:
– 400ℓ fresh water tank
– Hygienic washing facilities
– Gas cookers
– An onboard fridge
The trucks are also equipped with individual lockers for guests to store their bags and belongings while on tour. The locker dimensions are 400mm x 600mm x 900mm which means guests can easily fit a backpacks or barrel bag in the locker.
The trucks also offer convenient overhead storage for smaller day packs.
Land
CruiserThe Scheduled Botswana Tours and the Botswana Private Safaris make use of exclusive custom-built Drifters Land Cruisers, which are perfectly suited to effortlessly explore the natural wilderness of Botswana like you’ve never seen it before. These Land Cruisers have been fully equipped with all the necessary equipment needed to withstand the rugged terrain Botswana has to offer.
Our
EquipmentDuring your African adventure, Drifters Adventure Tours will provide you with all the camping equipment you will need – tents, chairs, camp beds and much more. We use custom-built safari dome tents on our camping tours that can comfortably accommodate two guests. The tents are made of durable canvas and have mosquito netting already built in.
On camping tours each guest will get their own camp bed for the tour which offers comfortable sleeping while camping in the middle of nowhere. Please note that we do not provide sleeping bags and guests are required to bring their own.
